Hi everyone! The brand spanking new Hero Arts stamps have arrived in the store. We have demo boards to show you how to use some of these new stamps and make a card.
Here's a gift card that I made several weeks ago. I used all Hero stamps.
This froggy is so cute! I've used him in many of my projects. A picture of the gift card inside of the card. The background stamp is called holly flourish and I embossed it with clear embossing powder. This is one of my favorite background stamps to use for my holiday projects. I'll leave the card at the store so you can see it. Have a great day everyone!

Maddie card

Hi everyone! How's your Christmas shopping going? I haven't started yet but I'm hitting the malls today. I hope to get most of it done. Here's a card I made using the new Spellbinders nestabilities label one die. This is one of my favorite dies so far besides the classic circles. And because the dies nest, you can create all kinds of projects using this set. I started off using the Sizzix kit #2 to make the card. I embossed with the Cuttlebug snowflakes folder. Stamp is by Dandelion Designs and colored with Copic markers. Maddie's clothes is glittered with stickles and I used liquid pearls on the white parts of her clothes. Liquid Pearls is another favorite item that I love using these days. Stamp a sentiment inside the card and its ready to be mailed. Well, have a great Saturday and Happy Holidays!!!

Dear Santa...

Hi everyone! Here's a sample of a card using the new peek-a-boo windows die from Sizzix.I recently got myself a Janome mini sewing machine so I could add some stitching on my cards and layouts and here is my first attempt on sewing on a card. It actually saves on putting adhesive down to hold the pieces together. The dear santa words and the snowman are from the new Christmas deco strip Sizzlit dies that were made for this XL peek-a-boo window die.And see, the windows flap open and you can put a message or diecuts or photos etc. under the flaps. I actually wrote a message under each flap and put a photo of our grandson Zack uner the last flap. This would make a nice Christmas card to send to family and friends. The sample is at the store so if you get a chance, check it out next time you're shopping there.
Don't forget about the giveaways we are having at the store. And it slipped past me that the entry is with a purchase.
Happy Thursday!!!

Merry whoo...

As soon as the new Spellbinder dies arrived at the store, I grabbed a bunch of them. This card was made using the curvy rectangle megabilities. I used the fold method to turn this into a folded card. The owl stamp is a Penny Black stamp that we had a bunch of and now it is gone. The branch is a Sizzix deco strip die called bird and branches and the word Ho, Ho is from a new Sizzix deco strip die called advent #1 or it could be #2, 3 or 4. If you haven't been to the store lately, you should stop by to enter the drawing which ends this weekend. Edit - it is actually next week Friday and there will be 2 winners. Plus, the Hello Kitty Big Shots came in and it is the cutest machine so far.
Don't forget, that we have gift certificates in case you don't know what to get someone this Christmas who crafts a lot. And if you ever have questions about something you saw on the blog or in the store, please send us an email.
Happy Christmas shopping!!!

Wild Card

Hi everyone! We received the Wild Card cartridges today and the Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse bodies for the embossing folders.
Have a great evening!

Just Rite Stampers

This is a new line for the store and a little confusing when you look at the packaging because you can't see the actual stamps. You have to read the box to see what is included with the stamps. Some of the bigger boxed sets come with the wooden stamper that you need to attach the rubber stamps. The thinner boxed sets do not come with the wooden stamper. If you buy one of those sets, you will have to get the wooden stamper in order to use the rubber stamps. This Christmas set does not come with the wooden stamper. This image uses the 3 1/4" wooden stamper. The red pinked edged is from the new Spellbinders dies.I used liquid pearls from Ranger on the birdie's hat. It makes the brim look fluffy.
Deets: Just Rite Stampers Christmas set, Spellbinders nestie pinking die,
Spellbinders classic circle, scallop punch, turqouise scallop - Slice machine, Hero Arts Christmas set, Ranger liquid pearls, Hero Arts cs, Cuttlebug swiss dots folder, and red satin ribbon.
This reindeer stamp is also from the same Hero Arts Christmas set. I also used the Spellbinders pinking die on this card.
Deets: Hero Arts Christmas set, Spellbinders nestie pinking die and classic circle die, Hero Arts cs, and red Hero Arts gemstone.
Hope you all had a great Veteran's Day holiday!!!

Spellbinder dies are here

Hi everyone! Ok, the Spellbinder's shipment arrived today. It should be the new dies. Not sure if it all came in but if there is one you were waiting for, please call the store.

Another Just Rite stamp

Hi everyone! Here is another Just Rite stamp from the same Christmas set as the one in the post below this. I used the same layout but placed the snowman on the card horizontally (I hope that's correct).I like to do quick and easy cards so as much as I love ribbon, sometimes I don't put it on.Here's a closer look at the snowman. The card took me a little longer than usual because I had to color in parts of the snowman.
Here's the deets:
Just Rite Stampers Christmas set, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Spellbinders petite scallop circle and classic circles, Hero Arts snowman stamp, metallic foil cs, Hero Arts cs, Hero Arts bling, Stickles black glitter, and chunky white glitter.
Have a great day!

Did you know???

That the Ranger liquid pearls we have in the store can also be used on fabric or tee shirts? I was reading the directions on the bottle today and that's what it said. How cool...
We'll be getting in some new product from Just Rite stampers real soon. I made a sample with one of the big wooden stamps. You can find it here.
Here's the deets: Just Rite stampers - Christmas borders, Spellbinders classic circle nesties, Sizzix Hello Kitty frame die, Sizzix Sizzlit Christmas set, Cuttlebug embossing folder-ornaments, Hero Arts cs and red gemstones.
I also made a sample of the new Sizzix XL box with tab die. I used chunky white glitter on the snowflake to make it look like snow.Deets: Sizzix XL box with tab die, Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder, snowflake punch, chunky white glitter, Hero Arts stamp, Hero Arts metal rim tag and gemstones.
We may get our shipment on all the new Spellbinders dies tomorrow (keeping my fingers crossed) but I will post it if we do. I can hardly wait to get some of those new dies.
Have a great evening!

I can't wait to try that one out because you can cut out cards and make matching envelopes. Anyways, call the store if you were waiting for either cartridge. I must of forgot to post this paint can that I made last week. I used the new Sizzlet Christmas set and also a new frame from Sizzix. The embossed snowflakes in the background is from last years Cuttlebug snowflake folder.

Have a great evening!

Hero Arts and Score Tape

Hi everyone! We received a shipment of Hero Arts clear stamps and Score Tape by Score Pal. I really like this 2 way tape that Score Pal came out with. It is real sticky and seems to hold projects together. And there is more tape on the roll.
I made a couple samples the other day after staring at my Hello Kitty collection of dies.

I rarely use the color purple but I thought this color fit the flowers and words perfectly. I glittered the flowers and used all 3 sizes on the die for the background. The Hello Kitty phrase is cut in 2 different colors and dotted with a Hero Arts heart gemstone. Ok, I hope this card didn't jump at you because it's really hard to take a photo of glittered items. This is a gift card holder using the ladybug die.

This is the same thing but in orange and black since this month is Halloween. I made the gift card holder from my Cricut machine. The samples will be at the store and the colors look better IRL. Have a great evening!

Deets: Sizzix Hello Kitty sitting die, Hello Kitty flower die, XL favor box die, Hero Arts glitter, Hero Arts gemstone, sheer white ribbon, and clear acetate for the window.

Kitty Kathy and Kitty Fairy

I made these cards last week and didn't get a chance to post them until now. This card uses 3 of the new Hello Kitty dies. First there is Kathy, Kitty's bunny friend, then the heart & wings die in the background and the yellow flower is the daisy die. I used the Cuttlebug swiss dots folder once again on the heart die and glittered the wings. Sorry the photo looks so grainy, I'm not sure what happened.
Deets: Hello Kitty Kathy die, hearts & wings die, daisies die, Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder, Sparkle & Sprinkle glitter, Doodlebug button, Hero Arts gemstone, and Sizzix rub-ons.
The 2nd card is the Hello Kitty fairy die. I actually followed the paper that they used. The wings are glittered and the star is a nestabilities die and once again I used the Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder.
Deets: Hello Kitty fairy die, star nestabilities die, Cuttlebug swiss dots folder, DCWV Butterflies & Blossoms cs, silver foil cs, Sparkle & Sprinkle glitter and stickles.
The samples will be at the store so you can see it IRL.

Hello Kitty

I worked on a card sample yesterday and forgot to post it. Here's a sample of one of the Hello Kitty dies that we just received in the store. It was quite easy and I made this in less than half an hour. That's fast for me since I normally spend hours working on a card. Sorry it's a little crooked but there was very little light in my room and this was the best angle to take the photo. Can you tell I was jumping on the bed? The background used is the Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder. I think I used this on just about everything I make these days. I put glitter in the flower and Hero Arts gemstones and a Hero Arts flower.
Have you ever been to Yogurtland? Well, we had never heard of it and one of our customers Barbie (thanks so much Barbie!) gave us a giftcard the other day and we decided to stop by for an evening dessert. OMG! You have got to go there if you've never been there and love to eat ice cream. You just take a container and fill it with the yogurt flavors that you like and pour toppings all over it. And this place is just busy with people waiting in line. It's right across the University of Hawaii.
Anyways, there are a bunch of dies that came in so hope you get a chance to stop by the store. Have a great weekend!

Couple samples and more shipments in the store

Hi everyone! I forgot to post this cute little box that I made with a new Sizzix Halloween die. I can't remember the name of the die but it's a MAMBI die.
You can't really see it but the pumpkin face is in black glitter. The layering on this die was actually real easy.
Here's a Christmas card that I made using the new snowflake embossing folder from Cuttlebug.

And the snowflake die is also from Cuttlbug. First you cut it then you emboss it. I used Hero Arts bling on the snowflake.
Also, we received a shipment of Hello Kitty dies today and it's so pink and cute! Call the store if there is a certain die that you want. Have a great weekend!!!

Sizzix Shipment

We just received a shipment today. Hope you can stop by the store to see all the new Christmas dies.
Have a great weekend!!!

A challenge

Over the weekend, my husband brought home this Cuttlebug embossing folder and asked me to make something out of it. It is the one called bird call and not one that I would actually pick out myself. So he challenged me and here is what I came up with.
Here is a closer up of the card. It actually came out better than I thought it would. The card is a 4 x 4 sized card. I rubbed my VersaMark inkpad over the bird just to darken it a little. Then I put stickles glitter glue over the bird. You can see the glitter better in this photo. The green cs is sanded.
The details: Cuttlebug embossing folder bird call, DCWV green (whitecore) cs, Fiskars border punch, Hero Arts stamp, Hero Arts gemstones, red SU cs, pink Bazzill cs and pink Offray ribbon.
I'll leave the sample at the store so you can see it.
Also, Hero Arts stamps and Sizzix dies came in the store today.
Have a great evening!

It's a cute little giftcard holder. The deets: Cuttlebug spiderweb embossing folder, Penny Black clear stamp set - Trick or Treat, Stickles glitter glue, Spellbinders nesties classic circles in small and large, and silk ribbon.
This 2nd card is from the same stamp set. I messed up on the coloring so I tried to cover it up with glitter but it turned out worst. Here's the deets:
Sizzix texturz plate #6, Penny Black clear stamp set - Trick or Treat, Cuttlebug bubbles embossing folder, Spellbinders nesties classic circles small and large, Stickles glitter glue and May Arts ribbon.
Have a great weekend and be crafty!

A quick and easy card

It's been awhile since I last posted a card sample. Today, I took out all the Cuttlebug embossing folders that were sitting in my package and pulled out this Christmas tree folder. I used gold metallic cardstock to emboss the tree. It was quick and easy, just layering it with white and black cardstock. Topping it with a red satin ribbon bow and red bling from Hero Arts. It really looks better IRL. I took the photo in the late afternoon and there wasn't much sun in the room. I'll leave the sample at the store so you can see it. Have a great evening everyone!

Sizzix turtle

Hi everyone! I made this card the other day and forgot to post it yesterday. I actually started off using the Sizzix frame die and ended up with the turtle from the sea animal set. But, it came out so cute so I stuck to it. Here's the deets: Sizzix sea animal set, Cuttlebug embossing folders swiss dots and circles (can't remember the name), Bazzill cardstock, Hero Arts cardstock, and Hero Arts stamps.

Princess invitation

One of our customers stopped by a couple weeks ago to show us this really cute invitation that she made for her daughter's birthday party. She used the Sizzix castle die and a sizzlet set. It's all dimensional too.
Can you believe she made a 100 of these??? Thanks Les and hope you don't mind that I posted this.
Have a great Saturday!

On to pumpkins

Although Halloween is right around the corner, I wanted to make something for Thanksgiving. I started out using Card Kit #2 from Sizzix and used the new pumpkins embossing folder from Cuttlebug. Also used the swiss dots border for the brown strip of paper.Give thanks is an older sizzlet die set that I used mirrored copper paper to cut out. And the pumpkin die is also an older Sizzix die. I used Bazzill kraft paper for this card after noticing a stack of them the other day while I was at the store. It really embosses well. Our Halloween shipment of new Sizzix dies should be arriving at the store anyday now.
We received a big shipment of DCWV papers yesterday so you may want to check it out at the store.
Have a fantastic weekend and hope to see you soon!

Halloween bat card

I spent most of yesterday afternoon playing with some new products. In between that, I made this Halloween card for the store.
The background is the new woodgrain embossing folder from Cuttlebug. The haunted house is a dollar stamp from Imaginise and the cute little bat is a Dandelion Designs stamp.
Here's a closer up view of the card. Although you can't even see it, the bats on the haunted house is glittered with black stickles.
Have a great evening!

Sizzix spider die, Hero Arts stamps, Hero Arts cardstock, acetate for window, Memories white ink and ribbon.

Clowns, sweets and a ghost

Hi everyone! I've been a little behind on posting these samples that I made over a week ago.The first sample is a Sizzix original die from the circus line that was released last month. I used the fold method so the clowns are holding hands around the box. I put a bag of jelly belly's in the middle of the box. This is a cute project to make for a baby's first birthday. This 2nd sample uses the Sweet Set from Sizzix. It's actually an older sizzlet set that is discontinued but we are still able to order it in case you want one. So Sweet sizzlet die, circle Quickutz, Cuttlebug swiss dots folder, and Hero Arts bling and glitter. *Edit* We do have some of these dies available in the store and we have more coming in.
This last sample is a clear acetate tag that I embossed with the new spider webs folder from Cuttlebug. Stamps are all Hero Arts, Stickles glitter, Hero Arts cardstock, ric rac, ribbon and a button.
Whew! That was a lot for tonight. Have a great Sunday!
